Why is this Anushthan special on Ekadashi?

In Sanatan tradition, Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Worshipping Lord Vishnu on this Ekadashi not only destroys all past sins, but also keeps people away from the path of adharma in the future. It is said that a devotee who worships on this day does not have to face Yamraj and is freed from the tortures of hell.
Worshipping Devguru Brihaspati on Ekadashi automatically removes all obstacles on the path to marriage. According to Jyotish Shastra, a strong Guru Grah is considered essential for the marriage of girls. When Ekadashi falls on a Brihaspati day (Thursday), its importance grows even more. It is believed that on this day, getting the Guru Grah Yagya, Vishnu Sahasranama Path and proper worship of the banana tree done removes the obstacles in marriage and begins to create the yog for an early marriage.
Importance of Brihaspati this Puja
In Sanatan Dharma and Vedic Jyotish, the Brihaspati Guru Grah Yagya is considered the highest remedy for removing obstacles related to marriage. According to Vedic Jyotish, Devguru Brihaspati is the main karak of marriage, good fortune and a happy married life for girls. If the Guru Grah in the kundli is weak, afflicted or debilitated, marriage talks break again and again or get very delayed. The Brihaspati Guru Grah Yagya removes Guru Dosh from the kundli and quickly opens the stuck paths to marriage.
It is believed that the Vishnu Sahasranama Path reduces the faults of past karmas and the effect of negative energy, which opens the way to fame, success and prosperity in life.
The banana tree is considered the direct home of Devguru Brihaspati and Lord Vishnu. It is believed that worshipping the banana tree on Thursday strengthens a weak or afflicted Guru Graha in the kundli.

According to the Kashi Khand and the Skand Puran, Brihaspati, son of Maharshi Angira, came to Kashi, the city of Lord Shiv, and established a very divine Shivling. He did severe penance here for thousands of years. Pleased with his unshakable devotion, Lord Shiv appeared and gave him the position of “Devguru” among all the Navagrahs, the lord of knowledge, and the status of “Mantra Siddhi.” This Brihaspati Temple in Kashi is the same historic place where Lord Shiv, the master of the Graha’s, gave Brihaspati a place in the Navagraha mandal.
