About pooja

Symptoms of Pitru Dosha

Air, water, sunlight, food, and earth are the five sacred elements, which are natural blessings from the deities. Every human inherits this debt from birth. By performing proper ancestral offerings (Tarpan), we liberate ourselves from this divine obligation. Unresolved divine debt manifests in life through several severe challenges:

  • Chronic Health & Mental Distress striking the members of family.

  • Bitter Family Conflicts that drain peace and destroy relationships.

  • Relentless money loss and unstoppable financial drain.

Purpose of Kashi Mahapuja:

  • Pitru Dosha Shanti: Frees trapped souls in Preta Yoni at Pishach Mochan Kund.

  • Divine Salvation: Guides ancestors to Shivlok via sacred Ganga Aarti.

  • Family Blessings: Unlocks childbearing success, protects women's health, and brings home prosperity.

Importance of This Anushthan on Kartik Purnima Tithi

Importance of This Anushthan on Kartik Purnima Tithi

According to the scriptures, a Pitru Dosh Shanti anushthan done on Kartik Purnima tithi gives the same fruit as Pitru Paksha. It is believed that a Pitru Dosh Shanti Puja gives relief from Pitru Dosh in the kundli or from the financial trouble or debt linked to it. Because of this, the obstacles in progress come to an end, and paths of growth open. Kartik Purnima tithi is a great chance to “take the Pitars out of the darkness of Yamlok and send them toward Moksh.”

According to legends, after the war of the Mahabharata ended, the Pandavas were very sad at the death of their relatives, gurus and lakhs of soldiers. They felt guilt and feared Pitru Dosh, because people of their own gotra had been killed in the war. Then, on the advice of Lord Shri Krishna, the Pandavas did a collective Pind Daan, Tarpan and Deepdaan on Kartik Purnima tithi itself, for the peace of the souls of all the departed and ancestors who died in the Mahabharata war.

Significance of Pishach Mochan Kund and Kashi

Kashi (Varanasi) is Lord Shiva’s eternal city of liberation. Situated here, Pishach Mochan Kund is described in the Garuda Purana and Skanda Purana as the supreme cosmic energy center where all types of ancestral afflictions, demonic influences (Preta Badha), and severe doshas are completely pacified.

The Divine Combination of Maha Ganga Aarti and Pitru Shanti

Following the main ritual, offering Maha Ganga Aarti on the sacred banks of Kashi in the name of your ancestors holds immense spiritual significance. Mother Ganga is the granter of salvation who descended to Earth specifically to liberate the ancestors of King Bhagiratha. Offering Ganga Aarti right after pacifying Pitru Dosh at Pishach Mochan lights up the path of liberation for ancestors and shields the family from all sins and calamities.

It is said that dying in Kashi grants direct salvation. However, for those who pass away outside Kashi, performing ancestral rites (Pitru Karma) here is considered infinitely fruit-bearing in securing their liberation.
